This is probably my favorite spot in the city to do work at. Great Ethiopian coffee. Awesome food too. The specials on weekends are to die for. Try the injera platters. Try the Malawah!

Drinks: Lavender Latte – Hands down the best lavender latte I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried plenty! – Perfectly balanced with sweetness, creaminess, and a strong lavender note. Alif Special – Wonderfully fragrant, with bold ginger notes that made it feel cozy and seasonal. – Such a unique coffee, perfect for fall and winter. I was so grateful to be invited to this incredible spot. My boyfriend and I had an amazing time exploring their menu. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, and everything from the coffee to the food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. What sets Alif Brew apart is their dedication to creating a true “third space”—a much-needed communal place for people to gather, relax, and connect. They even host Ethiopian Buna ceremonies, roasting coffee beans on-site and inviting guests to enjoy the fresh brew while socializing. To top it all off, they have an adorable mini mart filled with unique international snacks. I highly recommend stopping by this gem of a café. I’ll definitely be back! Date Visited: 12/1/2024

Alif Brew, how I love ya! I’m a sucker for everything offered at this neighborhood classic. If you’re looking for the best injera this side of the Schuylkill, Alif Brew is your spot. (Also if you’re looking for the kindest owners, coziest family run-business, best Ethiopian coffee, etc etc, this is also your spot). Every day is a good day when you visit. Tens all around!!!!!!!!

I love this cafe - normal coffee options and delicious sourdough bagels. Most of the food options are Ethiopian - everything from small sambusa pastries perfect for a snack, to cheap injera wraps perfect for a light lunch, to full on brunch and lunch options. Quiet but lively atmosphere

Outside of the traditional Ethiopian food and Coffee being great at Alif Brew, they offer many Ethiopian Groceries like Teff Flour, Ambo Water, Berbere Seasoning, etc. I always stop by to grab the Vegetarian Platter but today specifically, I ended up pairing it with the Biriz (which is a drink they made with fermented Honey and Turmeric) which was great.

It is a joy to live in the same city as Alif Brew. Best place to journal or peoplewatch or just sit. Really insanely good coffee and I am so, so obnoxious about coffee so please trust me when I say this. The girl at the front the last two times I’ve come in is angelic. Vibes are perfect. Crazy to think about how Ethiopia has some of the best food and jazz and wine and coffee on the planet and those are the all the best parts about being a person really

Quiet, cozy, friendly. They also offer a small selection of Ethiopian groceries. Coffee was delicious. Deep flavor without being super bold. Excellent place to have a cup of Joe and relaxe for a few min. Took off a star for food my bagel wasn’t super fresh but it was still good
